(Miami, FL) – On the eve of the Florida Republican primary election, the Miami, Broward County, and Tampa chapters of Log Cabin Republicans will be holding a “Cocktail Caucus,” including an informal vote on the GOP presidential candidates. Log Cabin members from across Florida will discuss strategy for winning greater freedom for LGBT Floridians and building a stronger, more inclusive state GOP.
“As a battleground state in the general election, Florida plays a special role in American politics, and Log Cabin Republicans are part of that conversation,” said R. Clarke Cooper, Executive Director of the national Log Cabin Republicans. “This cocktail caucus is an opportunity for Log Cabin Republicans and our supporters to come together to advance our vision of a GOP that truly stands for freedom for all. Represented by Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, one of Log Cabin’s greatest allies, Miami is the kind of community that an inclusive Republican Party can win for years to come.”
