“The passing of First Lady Betty Ford marks the loss of one of the most dynamic women to grace the position of First Lady of the United States,” said Log Cabin Republicans Executive Director R. Her tenure as First Lady was marked with unprecedented candor, honesty and passion, from her personal struggle and later advocacy for breast cancer treatment to her support of substance abuse rehabilitation. Log Cabin Republicans honor her memory with great appreciation for her life’s work and her example of courage and compassion.”
Betty Ford passed away Friday, July 9, 2011 at the age of 93. Log Cabin Republicans are proud to honor the memory of First Lady Betty Ford who will be interred at the Ford presidential museum on July 14 along with her husband on the day that would have been President Gerald Ford’s 98th birthday.
