(Washington, DC) – Log Cabin Republicans congratulate victorious Republicans nationwide after Tuesday’s midterm election. Of particular note are the twelve winners in the House of Representatives endorsed by Log Cabin Republicans for their commitment to core Republican principles and equality for all Americans.
“The American people have voted in favor of new and pragmatic leadership in Washington and in state houses throughout the country,” said R. Clarke Cooper, Log Cabin Republicans Executive Director. “Log Cabin Republicans are proud to have helped usher in a 112th Congress charged with enabling economic growth and restraining runaway government spending. We look forward to working with new and returning Republican allies to remove any barriers to equal employment access and job growth. We will also work to secure tax reform which will benefit Americans’ personal budgets while stimulating market growth.”
“As House Republican leader John Boehner has said, ‘We’ve got a big job ahead of us. That’s why you will see us roll up our sleeves and get to work today.”
The Log Cabin Republicans are proud to have endorsed the following victorious candidates: Charlie Bass (NH-2), Bob Dold (IL-10), Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08), Nan Hayworth (NY-19), and Richard Hanna (NY-24).
Endorsed Log Cabin allies who will be returning to Congress include: Judy Biggert (IL-13), Mary Bono Mack (CA-45), Charlie Dent (PA-15), Leonard Lance (NJ-07), Todd Platts (PA-19), Dave Reichert (WA-08) and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18).
