Log Cabin Republicans President Charles Moran released the following statement in response to the Biden Administration endorsing gender reassignment surgeries for minors:
“This is a vast overreach by the Biden Administration and these new documents are clearly motivated by woke politics rather than actual health. It’s one thing for parents to discuss gender identity with their children, but for federal government bureaucrats to encourage physical gender reassignment surgeries and hormone therapies – some of which are not easily reversible – as health care options for minors who may not yet fully grasp the consequences is a step too far. Log Cabin supports the right to transition freely at an appropriate age and conscience. We need honest conversations around gender identity, not a political rubber stamp from the Biden Administration for gender-obsessed activists to start recommending surgeries for kids.”
