Washington, DC – Log Cabin Republicans President Charles Moran released the following statement after Thursday’s federal court ruling vacating the Biden Administration’s Title IX rewrite nation-wide:
“Today’s court ruling vacating the Biden Administration’s assault on Title IX nation-wide is an incredible victory for women’s sports, fairness, the law, and commonsense.
“Gender-obsessed radical Left LGBT activists within the Biden Administration tried to unilaterally and dubiously rewrite Title IX to erase the concept of biological sex from the law all together, denying women opportunities for athletic achievements and scholarships in the process. Thankfully, a coalition of female athletes, LGBT conservatives, Republican lawmakers and Attorneys General, President Trump himself, and countless others fought back to protect Title IX. Today, those efforts succeeded.
“LGBT conservatives have long held that inclusion for trans Americans does not and cannot come at the expense of equality for women, who have fought to secure their own opportunities in athletics for the last fifty years. We look forward to working with the incoming Trump Administration to protect women’s sports and keep Title IX intact while working for solutions that ensure trans athletes have opportunities to fairly compete.”
